Carbohydrates are made up of sugar monomers. They also give our blood cells glucose. The body stores the carbohydrates and uses it as energy. It can only store carbohydrates for up to two days only. There is a lot of different examples of carbohydrates. The three main carbohydrates are starches, sugar, and fiber. These carbohydrates make up different types of food like starchy vegetables which include peas, potatoes, corn, and lima beans. Also the obvious foods like bread, pasta, and crackers are carbohydrates also.
